Frustration

So I am moving to China in a few weeks and have been packing since June...or maybe just the beginning of July. I am so stressed about how to pack my life in two suitcases and my backpack can only weigh 10lbs. My backpack isn't gonna have much in it. This is not to add to the frustration of having to get a new computer. Mine is so shot so I have been comparing Macbook Pro with a iPad. An iPad would be so much lighter even with a wireless keyboard. But if it lacks essentials that  I will need in China then ultimately I need to just get a Macbook Pro.

I had a really nice Macbook Pro in college then I mercilessly and accidentally murdered it with a Gatorade mishap. It was not pretty and I cried for 3 days over the death of that beautiful piece of technology. So to punish myself I downgraded to just a plan Macbook which has had problems of its own (not my fault this time) now after being fixed last October it is actually worse then when I sent it in to be fixed. Thus my dilemma but I think I am going to have to bit the proverbial bullet and buy a new laptop. To all of you PC fans out there no I will not be buying a PC 1) because once you go Mac you NEVER go back 2) my back up unit only transfers Mac to Mac so I would lose everything.

In other news my Gator boys are getting ready for what is going to be a great season because its always great to be a Florida Gator! I have to get up at 3:30am China time to watch the game live on ESPN if I can get it via the internet. So if anyone wants to talk I am planing on being up supporting my boys of fall. That was mostly for Ashley because she's the only one who understand my deep, deep love of football. Go Blue Go Orange Go Gators!

Since most of my readers aren't into sports I will change topic to Pinterest which I have newly discovered and fallen for. There are so many great ideas so many boards to make its just fun to make new pins and create boards for pretty much everything. Yes I have way to much fun with that site. Anyway this has been an update that has been very overdue. Hopefully I will write again before I leave for China otherwise wait to hear from me after a few days there between jet-lag and training I don't know when I will be back to update.

Red Tape

Well the weeks are becoming fewer and fewer. The last few packages are slowly coming in so I can wash stuff and pack it right away. Then there is my visa...o China I hate your red tape but I love you and your food! So far when it comes to paperwork it has been very stressful and I just want to cry by the end of the day, like I said I hate all this red tape!!

But in other China news I talked with a mom of one of the other Zhongers that I grew up with and found out that I will probably fall head over heels with their food and American food with forever disappoint me...except of course for Chick-fil-a because they are heaven in your mouth. Next summer I am going to have to go down South and get some because it will be over two years  since would have eaten any yummy chicken. If your reading this and have never had Chick-fil-a you have my pity. It's one of the things I discovered going to school in Florida that and my wonderful Florida Gators.

Anyway trying to not stress out and adopt the phrase :this is China. It seems to sum up everything that I will and have experienced.  I have to figure out when to set my alarm and watch my Gators if I can because I will...that is one thing that I am going to miss is my boys of fall. If nothing else I can have my friend Ashley tell me all the exciting things that happened during football season. When it comes to the NFL I'm not going to miss it as much I heart Tebow and think he's a great player but I'm  not really a fan of the Jets so I can part from that and feel minimal pain. This is going to be another short post with nothing truly profound but just wait till I get to China that will probably change.

6 Weeks

It's been a while since I wrote sorry life got in the way. Anyway 6 weeks until my life changes pretty drastically but hopefully for the better. I got to skype with my fellow elementary teacher  Amber - she is super sweet and think we will get along just fine. In the mean time I have been buying all the things I have to get here and not in China and I think I have spent more money in the last week then I have in my entire life (ok so that's an exaggeration...but still it's a lot).

I have been saying goodbyes to friends and family as I see them because I know some of them I won't see for quite some time. There once was a time I could have never done this and just leave all the people I love, but the Father has been getting me ready for this adventure for a few years now without me even realizing it. Still not looking forward to that 30+ hour plane ride though. :(

In the mean time I will continue to enjoy my summer (yay baseball games!) Speaking of which if you go to a Loons game and want some ice cream be careful. At the last game I went to I got a waffle cone and it was so much ice cream my mom ate half of it, I will never do that again! But we won the game so my ice cream fiasco was worth it. Other then packing and figuring out how to pack my life in a few suitcases my summer has been pretty relaxed which is nice because I have a feeling that China may be pretty non-stop and I will be looking forward to Chinese New Year. If I go on any adventures I will post pictures and take you all with me without you ever having to travel anywhere.

This isn't much of an update but that's ok there's always next time. Enjoy your summer it's gonna be gone before long and everyone will be loathing the snow (remember this on the hot days and even the cold ones it doesn't last forever)
